Zelenskyy Says Ukraine’s Resilience Is the Foundation of Its Global Influence

by admin477351

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has identified resilience as the core of Ukraine’s growing global influence. Speaking as he announced that Ukraine would provide drone defense expertise and equipment to US and Middle Eastern allies, he argued that it is precisely because Ukraine has refused to be defeated that its capabilities, knowledge, and partnerships now carry weight in capitals across the world.

Zelenskyy confirmed conversations with leaders from the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Jordan, and Kuwait about defense cooperation, and confirmed fulfilling a formal US request for drone defense assistance by ordering equipment and technical specialists to be dispatched. He described each partnership as a testament to what Ukraine has built through four years of extraordinary resilience under Russian attack.

The connection between resilience and influence is direct. A nation that was expected by many to fall within days of Russia’s invasion has instead developed a defense industry that is now exporting to the world’s most powerful military. The interceptors that cost as little as $1,000 per unit and can destroy Iranian Shaheds were not gifted to Ukraine — they were forged through necessity, ingenuity, and the determination not to give in.

This track record has earned Ukraine a credibility that no amount of lobbying or diplomacy could have manufactured. When Zelenskyy speaks with Gulf leaders about defense cooperation or fulfills a US request for anti-drone expertise, he does so as the leader of a nation that has demonstrated under the most adverse conditions that its capabilities are real and its commitments can be trusted.

Zelenskyy acknowledged the disruption of the Iran crisis to peace talks and warned that Russia is trying to use global distraction to its advantage. But he remained confident, pointing to recent Ukrainian frontline gains and the expanding network of defense partnerships as evidence that Ukraine’s resilience is producing the influence needed to secure a just and lasting peace. The world’s willingness to turn to Ukraine for help, he suggested, is the most powerful validation of everything his country has endured.
