US Vice-President JD Vance has expressed a commitment to what he considers “God’s work,” acknowledging the possibility that his actions could play a role in ushering in the end times. During a podcast interview, Vance remarked on the uncertainty surrounding the timing of the end times, suggesting that while they could be thousands of years away, they might also arrive much sooner.
In his discussion, Vance speculated about the presence of the Antichrist, highlighting certain trends in modern society that he finds concerning from a religious standpoint. He specifically singled out the increasing integration of artificial intelligence into personal relationships, describing this trend as “kind of satanic.” Vance argued that such technological reliance detracts from the meaningful human interactions that people are meant to have.
The vice-president also recounted moments of spiritual unease during meetings with international leaders. He described experiencing a “spiritual alarm bell” in response to certain remarks or discussions, indicating a profound sense of spiritual darkness in some diplomatic engagements.
Furthermore, Vance came to the defense of President Donald Trump regarding an AI-generated image depicting Trump in a Christ-like fashion. He asserted that Trump did not intend to offend Christianity or present himself as divine, characterizing the post as an attempt at humor rather than a serious statement.
